Dr. Eduardo Franca, MD

President Co-Founder

Interventional Radiology

Dr. Eduardo Franca is a board-certified interventional radiologist with 21 years of experience in the field. His special interests include (but are not limited to) endovascular management of peripheral vascular disease, aortic aneurysm repair, and interventional oncology. He graduated from the University of Miami in 1985 with a BS Degree in Chemistry. He then received his medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1992. His radiology residency was completed at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1996, where he served as chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology in 1997 at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Franca is certified by the American Board of Radiology with a certificate of added qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He currently holds the position of Medical Director of Radiology at Kendall Regional Medical Center and Mercy Hospital in Miami, Florida. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. Ronald Joseph, MD


Fellowship: Body Imaging

Dr Joseph is a founding member and parter of Intellirad, a radiology group based in Miami, Florida. He is currently a Faculty member of the Radiology Residency program at Aventura Hospital, an HCA facility.

After completing a radiology residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/ University of Miami, he pursued a fellowship in Body imaging. He joined the University of Miami radiology faculty staff after the Fellowship in 1993. He was the Radiology Residency Program director from 1994 to 1996. In that position and as a member of the RSNA Scientific Committee he actively encouraged the residents to present their scientific works at the annual RSNA meeting.

Dr Joseph has been in private practice for over twenty years. Although he enjoys the diversity of tasks characterizing his practice, he recently enthusiastically welcomed the opportunity to return to one of the most fulfilling aspect of his career: Teaching. Outside of radiology he divides his time between family, travel, photography and cooking. He is also an avid soccer fan, and often with a funny story to tell.

Dr. Jason Kosove, MD


Fellowship: Women's Imaging

Dr. Kosove graduated from Cornell University in 1994 with a B.A. in Anthropology and Archaelogy. He then pursued graduate education in Anthropology obtaining an M.A. in Physical Anthropology/Forensic Anthropology continuing on to complete additional PhD level work in Anthropology before entering the medical field.

He earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in 2003 and completed his Radiology residency in 2008 at Pennsylvania Hospital in the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Dr. Kosove then completed a fellowship in Breast Imaging and Intervention at the University of Miami/Sylvester Cancer Center in 2009 and is currently the Director of Breast Imaging and Women’s Services at Mercy Hospital, Kendall Regional Medical Center, and Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in South Florida.

Dr. Nisha Mani, MD


Fellowship: MRI

Dr. Mani was raised in Central Florida. Obtained a Bachelors degree in Anthropology from University of Florida. Attended Medical school at University of South Florida. Radiology residency at University of Miami, Jackson Memorial. Fellowship trained in MRI.

Currently the Director of Radiology at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Mani is a longtime local Miami resident and enjoys doing yoga, travel, interior design and Netflixing.

Dr. Jose Rodriguez, MD

Fellowship: Nuclear Medicine

Jose A. Rodriguez is a board certified radiologist with 14 years of experience. He specializes in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology as well as Nuclear Medicine. He graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Biomedical Engineering and subsequently attended medical school at the University of Miami. He completed his residency and fellowship within the Department of Radiology at the University of Miami/JMH. He serves as the Radiation Safety Officer for Kendall Regional Medical Center and Aventura Hospital-Medical Center. He is a member of the American Board of Radiology and American Board of Nuclear Medicine. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. Brian Baigorri, MD

Fellowship: Interventional Radiology

Dr. Brian Baigorri is a board certified diagnostic and vascular interventional radiologist with 3 years of experience. He attended medical school at Ponce School of Medicine and graduated with clinical honors. He completed several years of categorical general surgery residency before switching to diagnostic radiology residency at Wayne State University. He completed a vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Dr. Baigorri performs all interventional radiology procedures with special interest in interventional oncology, critical limb ischemia/limb salvage, and prostate artery embolization. He is a member of the American Board of Radiology, Society of Interventional Radiology, a prior recipient of the 2014 North American Roentgen Research Award and has completed over 30 national and international presentations, abstracts, and papers. He is fluent in English and Spanish

Dr. Brett Mckeon, MD

Fellowship: Pediatric Radiology

Dr. McKeon was raised in Massachusetts and South Carolina, but moved to south Florida in high school and fell in love with the area. After a brief hiatus at Cornell University for undergraduate school, Dr. McKeon returned to south Florida for medical school, and has remained here ever since.

Trained in general radiology and with specialty training in musculoskeletal imaging at Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami, Dr. McKeon then went on to attain sub-specialty training in pediatric imaging at Miami Children's Hospital.

Dr. Orlando Enrizo, MD

Fellowship: Interventional Radiology

Dr. Orlando Enrizo is a board-certified Interventional and Diagnostic Radiologist. His undergraduate degree was earned at Florida International University. He attended medical school at Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico and completed his Radiology residency at Boston University Boston Medical Center. Following his residency, Dr. Enrizo completed his fellowship training in Vascular Interventional Radiology in University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital with special interest in Interventional Oncology. Dr. Enrizo is faculty of the Aventura Radiology Residency Program as well as Chairman of the utilization committee and a board member of the surgical and medical peer review committees at Kendall and Aventura Medical Center. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. Ryan de Melo, MD

Fellowship: Body MRI

Dr. de Melo completed a bachelors degree in Biology from the Univeristy of Puerto Rico. After medical school in Ponce School of Medicine, he trained in both Nuclear Medicine/Pet-Ct and Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Missouri. He completed subspecialty training in Body MRI at Emory Univerisity prior to joining Intellirad Imaging in July 2016. Dr. de Melo and wife Karen are world travelers. Dr. de Melo is a European and International soccer fan.

Dr. Carlos A. Caceres, MD

Fellowship: Neuro Radiology

Dr. Caceres completed a BS degree in Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and completed his medical degree at the Yale School of Medicine. Following Medical School, he continued his training at both Harvard Medical School teaching hospitals Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital for Radiology Residency followed by Brigham and Women's Hospital for a Neuroradiology Fellowship.

When he is not reading exams, he enjoys amateur photography and mountain biking

Dr. Roberto Fourzali Sabbag, MD

Fellowship: Interventional Radiology

Dr. Roberto Fourzali is a board-certified Interventional and Diagnostic radiologist with 5 years of experience. He attended medical school at Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia and completed his residency at University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is trained in Interventional Radiology and Neuroradiology and performs a wide variety of interventional radiology procedures. His special interests are interventional oncology, peripheral vascular disease, critical limb ischemia, pulmonary embolism and trauma. Dr. Fourzali is a member of the American Board of Radiology , the Society of Interventional Radiology and currently serves as the Interventional Radiology Section Chief for the AHMC Radiology residency. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. Anjeza Chukus


Dr. Anjeza Chukus is a Board-Certified Diagnostic Radiologist, CAQ Certified in Neuroradiology Subspecialty and MQSA Certified in Breast Imaging. Dr. Chukus graduated with double major Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Biology from Emory University where she was elected to the Phi Betta Kappa Honor Society. She then received a scholarship to pursue her Medical Degree at the University of Michigan Medical School (Class of 2011). Afterwards, she completed her Radiology residency training at the Mount Sinai Medical Center with a subspecialty in Breast Imaging. Subsequently, Dr. Chukus completed a two-year Fellowship training in Neuroradiology at the Stanford University Medical Center where she was appointed Clinical Instructor in Neuroradiology and was the recipient of the Fellow teaching award and the Roentgen Fellow research award. Dr. Chukus also served as Adjunct Clinical Instructor in the Pediatric Neuroradiology department at the Stanford Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. Dr. Chukus now lives in Miami and has been working with the Intellirad Imaging Group since 2018. She currently serves as the Section Chief of Neuroradiology and Clinical Instructor in Breast Imaging for the AHMC Radiology residency. Dr. Chukus is actively involved in teaching, research, multidisciplinary cancer committees, and has authored several papers and presented at numerous national and international conferences.

Dr. James Banks


Dr. James Banks is a musculoskeletal radiologist with Intellirad Imaging in South Florida and an assistant professor at the Nova South Eastern College of Allopathic Medicine. He completed his musckuskeletal fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida after finishing diagnostic radiology residency training at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami where he did a neuroradiology minifellowship and served as chief resident.

His research interests include quality improvement, patient safety, oncology and sports medicine. He is a 6-sigma yellow belt having performed core leadership roles in the Commitment to Safety Team at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education and The Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Council at Jackson Memorial Hospital's GMEC.

He has authored several peer reviewed journal articles, presented at various national forums and completed multiple QI training programs including the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Open School certificate, IHI's Leadership and Organizing for Change, and the Telluride Academy for Emerging Leaders in Patient Safety.

Dr. Gustavo Pantol


Dr. Gustavo Pantol joined Intellirad in 2018. He completed a sub-specialty in neuroradiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center - Harvard Medical School, and a residency in diagnostic radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he served as a chief resident. He completed a surgery internship at Montefiore Medical Center - Albert Einstein College of Medicine and received an M.D. degree from the National University of Cuyo, where he graduated with honors.

Dr. Pantol was elected Research Coordinator for the Florida Radiological Society - Residents and Fellow Section during 2009-2010. He has conducted research in Alzheimer's disease, Gait disorders, Acute Central Nervous System Events, and Head and Neck pathology. He has published his research in National and International Journals.

Dr. Michael Letzing


Dr. Michael Letzing has over 4 years experience in diagnostic radiology, with a focus on neuroradiology, general radiology, and emergency radiology.

Dr. Letzing is sub-specialty fellowship trained in neuroradiology. He completed residency training in diagnostic radiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Hospital. He attended the University of Miami School of Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class, and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He received his bachelor's degree in physics with honors from the University of Virginia. Prior to medical school, Dr. Letzing worked for 4 years in software engineering and consulting, and has professional interests in medical informatics. He envisions information technology playing a critical role in today’s medical practice, where improved patient-centered care can be achieved through optimizations in accuracy, collaboration and quality measures.

Dr. Letzing has authored several publications and presented at national meetings on topics including idiopathic intracranial hypertension, cervical spine trauma and head and neck imaging.

Dr. Robert Beecham


Dr. Beecham is a double Gator. He graduated with Honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Microbiology in 1986, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He is a 1990 graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine. 

After a medical internship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Dr. Beecham completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island 1995. He also completed a Vascular Interventional Fellowship at Brown University a 1996.

In 2013, Dr. Beecham completed a Fellowship in Advanced Cardiac Imaging at the Baptist Cardiovascular Institute in Miami Florida. He received his Certificate of Advanced Proficiency in Cardiac CT from the American College of Radiology, and is a Diplomat of the Certifying Board of Cardiac Computed Tomography.

Dr. Julio Zayas


Dr. Zayas is a board-certified Diagnostic Radiologist and Interventional Radiologist serving the Miami area. He earned his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Zayas completed his radiology residency training at University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, acting as chief resident in his fourth year. He completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology from the University of Maryland Medical Center. At UMMC-Shock Trauma Center, he received training in all aspects of vascular medicine, with emphasis on interventional oncology and care for trauma patients. Prior to working in Miami, he served for 3 years as co-director of the Interventional Radiology division at Pavia Hospital-Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Zayas is currently a faculty member at Mercy Hospital, Kendall Regional Medical Center, and Aventura Hospital and Medical Center where he performs a wide variety of interventional radiology procedures. He has special interest in management and treatment of venous and arterial thromboembolic disease, vascular traumatic injuries, interventional oncology, peripheral arterial disease and general urologic interventions. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. Ravi Shivashankar


Dr. Ravi Shivashankar is a neurointerventional surgeon and neuroradiologist with over 17 years of experience. He completed medical school and a radiology residency in India. He then practiced as a neuroradiologist and neurointerventionalist at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in India. Upon relocation to the U.S., he completed fellowships in both diagnostic neuroradiology and endovascular neurosurgery at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. Dr. Shivashankar than went on to complete an additional fellowship in endovascular neuroradiology from the University of Maryland Medical Center. Subsequent to this, he worked as a clinical instructor in the Division of Interventional Neuroradiology at University of Maryland Medical School. He practices at Aventura Medical Center, Kendall Regional Medical Center and Westside Regional Medical Center. He has extensive training in the field of neuroimaging and interventional neuroradiology. As a fellowship-trained neurointerventionalist and neuroradiologist, Dr. Shivashankar is highly skilled in image interpretation and treatment of cerebral aneurysms, endovascular treatment of acute stroke, endovascular treatment of complex brain vascular malformations and brain vascular injuries and abnormalities of the head, neck and spine. He also specializes in minimally invasive percutaneous image guided treatment for pain, including treatment of vertebral compression fractures, facet joint blocks, nerve block steroid injections and biopsies.

Dr. Hilda Tejero


Hilda Tejero MD is a Board Certified Radiologist specializing in Women’s Imaging and Neuroradiology. She is dedicated to women’s health and the early detection of breast cancer. She is trained in the latest state of the art technology, provided by HCA hospitals, including breast magnetic resonance imaging and Magseed localizations.

Dr. Tejero earned her medical degree from George Washington University. She completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and her residency in radiology and fellowship training at the University of Miami and Sylvester Cancer Center.

Dr. Tejero is a member of the American Board of Radiology and is an authorized user of radiopharmaceuticals. She is an active Cancer Committee Member at Aventura Hospital and Mercy Hospital and is committed to improving cancer prevention, detection and care.

Dr. Tejero speaks fluent English, Spanish, French, and German.
